I Know a Guy: A Life Lesson in Developing an Aligned Investment Philosophy

Back in 2015 my husband was collaborating with a brilliant guy and the phrase “I know a guy for that” crossed his lips so many times that it became kind of an inside joke.

Shawn was remarkably well connected. This comes from a lifetime of getting to know people. What makes them tick. What checks their boxes. Being a connector.

And the discussions, innovative planning, and business ideation my husband did with him was one of the times in our life I have truly seen my husband 100% inspired and happy. Motivated from that “something more” place that can be so elusive.

Those ideation sessions never panned out in a way for us that yielded profit. But I believe that that time was essential in finding internal cues for what alignment looks like.

And that is a key to a life well lived.

Alignment.

When it comes to investing, places to put your money so it can make you money, how often have you asked yourself the following:

Is this investment in alignment with my financial goals?

Is this investment in alignment with me personally?

Does taking this step make me more powerful (i.e. knowledgeable, experienced, etc.) in my relationship with my money or less?

If you want to learn more about a short-term private note lending opportunity let me know. I know a guy.

Seriously, if your money moves do not feel aligned with who you are and where you are going, take advantage of this connection.

Bonus tip: You don’t have to be an accredited investor to participate in short term private notes. If you are still on your way to being accredited this is a sure-fire way to actively participate in what you do with your money.
